JOB DESCRIPTION FOR LEGAL OFFICER

JOB SUMMARY:

Noor Takaful Insurance Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced In-House Corporate Counsel to join our legal team. The Legal Officer will provide support in managing the legal affairs of the organization by ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and providing advice on legal matters. This role requires close collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders to mitigate risks and uphold the organization's standards.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Review and Drafting:
    • Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence.
    • Ensure that legal documents are accurate, comprehensive, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
    • Identify potential legal risks and propose solutions to mitigate those risks.
  • Litigation Support:
    • Assist with litigation matters, including gathering evidence, preparing legal briefs, and attending court hearings.
    • Coordinate with external legal counsel to represent the organization's interests.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Identify and assess legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
    • Provide legal advice to various departments on a range of legal issues.
    • Develop and implement legal policies and procedures.
    • Monitor the organization’s compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Law from an accredited University and must have been called to Bar
    • 0-2 years of experience in legal practice or a corporate legal environment.
