Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an insurance company.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and relevant underwriting software (a plus).

- Understanding of basic insurance principles and risk assessment concepts (a plus).
- Analyze and evaluate insurance applications, considering factors like financial standing, risk profile, and claims history.
- Apply underwriting guidelines and industry standards to assess potential risks and determine appropriate coverage and premiums.
- Conduct research and due diligence to gather relevant information and verify application details.
- Communicate effectively with brokers, agents, and clients to answer questions, clarify information, and explain underwriting decisions.
- Request additional information and documentation as needed to complete risk assessments.
- Collaborate with senior underwriters to review complex cases and make informed decisions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all underwriting activities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and underwriting best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of underwriting processes and procedures.
