JOB DESCRIPTION FOR ACTUARY
JOB SUMMARY: Noor Takaful Insurance Limited is seeking a motivated and analytical Actuary to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for data analysis. This role involves analysing financial risks, designing insurance policies, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
The Actuary will work closely with various departments to assess risk, develop models, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in actuarial analysis or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in statistical software and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of insurance principles and regulations is a plus.
- Pursuing or willingness to pursue actuarial certification (e.g., SOA or CAS exams).
- Conducting statistical analyses to assess and quantify financial risks.
- Developing and maintaining actuarial models to forecast future trends and assess liabilities.
- Analysing data and trends to determine insurance pricing and reserves.
- Collaborating with underwriters to assess risk factors and develop insurance products.
- Providing recommendations to management based on analysis of risk exposure and financial performance.
- Communicating complex actuarial concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Participating in actuarial exams and continuing education programs to maintain professional certifications.
- Assisting in the development of business strategies and pricing policies.
- Performing ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed.
